Recognized for acquisition and financing of 8point3 Energy Partners 

NEW YORK – Capital Dynamics, an independent global private asset management firm, today announced that its Clean Energy Infrastructure (CEI) team received the 2018 North American Solar Deal of the Year at the annual IJGlobal North America Awards for its acquisition and financing of 8point3 Energy Partners. Capital Dynamics accepted the award for the second consecutive year at a dinner held in New York City. The award is determined by an independent panel of industry leaders each year to recognize an exceptional transaction that drives advancement and innovation in the energy market.

Financing for the transaction was supported by Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) and Allianz Global Investors and placed to multiple investors including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, KeyBank, Natixis, Sabadell, Santander, Rabobank, Nomura and Barings. Amis, Patel & Brewer, LLP served as primary legal counsel. Stoel Rives, LLP served as tax and regulatory counsel.
